Sullivan Park
Shadley Associates is leading a team of consultants for the design, permitting and construction of a new public park at George C. Sullivan Field in Revere for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Located on the corner of Revere Beach Boulevard and Revere Street overlooking the historic Revere Beach Reservation, the new park will transform an empty space into a park focused on activities and programming for residents and visitors. The park will be universally accessible with a variety of activities that encourage physical exercise, movement and social interaction. Elements include a multi-purpose lawn space for entertainment and classes, a shade shelter, an ocean view plaza area with game tables and seating, a water feature, fitness area with equipment, bocce courts and an accessible loop walk. The planting design re-introduces native vegetation for shade, habitat, and climate resiliency. The Shadley Team developed construction documents, held two public meetings, obtained permits and is currently overseeing construction which is expected to be completed in 2024.
