Howard Park

Shadley Associates worked with the Malden Redevelopment Authority and the City of Malden to design, permit and assist with the construction of the complete rehabilitation of Howard Park and Rotundi Field, which was previously called South Broadway Park. The project creates a new, expanded high school baseball field of synthetic turf with lacrosse and soccer in the outfield, four tennis courts suitable for league tournaments, a large new playground, and passive outdoor recreation space.  It includes a utility building, dugouts, extensive fencing, sports lighting and LED site lighting, new signage and attractive planting.  The project also includes the realignment of public and private roadways with a new roundabout, parking, and connections with the adjacent shopping plaza.
